Bone up on heartworm prevention

 Heartworm prevention for most of us is a bit of a hit and miss affair: compliance rates are at best only 50% of dogs on heartworm tabs actually get them monthly as required. A new drug called Proheart SR-12 is now available for a once per year injection for heartworm prevention. Cost savings are considerable – especially for small dogs.
